Directly from the expedition, I hope to gain an understanding of the physical demands required for future expeditions of this magnitude. However, the vision of "Summit2Sea" is not intended for mere personal gain. I have wanted to develop a new type of adventure never before achieved; one that challenges myself while
challenging others to get involved, whether it be an adventure in exploration or an adventure in conservation.
Whats Next?
This adventure is the first step toward my next major goal of tracing the "Summit2Sea" expedition from the summit of Mt. Everest to the Bay of Bengal. The river flowing off Mt. Everest joins the Ganges in India, which is one of the most polluted rivers in the world, while supporting one of the world's highest density of humans. This endeavor has also never been attempted, and by navigating the 600+ miles of waterway, the expedition would provide a perfect opportunity to explore the various peoples and cultures who use the river in both positive and
negative ways.
In addition to the challenge and reward of personal adventure, the "Summit 2 Sea" Expedition will work to support and develop global awareness for active agencies dedicated to the sustainability and preservation of the Earth's watersheds, while pushing the boundaries of human exploration.
